Hi everyone,
So in addition to extending the Orchestra Compo for another month, I have decided to start a different kind of compo. For this one, the goal is to take a video game soundtrack from an obscure composer (Ideally looking for games from 1983-1985, so that means artists like Dave Lee, Arti Haroutunian, John Vaanderart, etc.), but remaster the SID to bring it up to modern day SID standards. I guess the best way to frame what I'm asking for is to look for a composer you've never heard of before, find a SID you think could sound great with present-day knowledge of the SID chip's capabilities, and have at it! The only limit here is 2 entries per participant, so everyone gets a chance to take part in remastering old, obscure SIDs. Feel free to post in the forums if you have any questions, and have fun! |
