creating p64/g64 test images

Are there any existing unix/os x command line tools out there for creating p64 and g64 images from a d64? Needs to support copying hidden blocks, otherwise I'd just use c1541.

I know I could create and mount an image in VICE, then run a disk copy tool under emulation, but surely there is an easier way?

look in the vice testrepo, there is a crude tool buried in the drive tests that makes g64s from d64
