i'll reply here then.
the title comes from a conversation i had, years ago, with a young therapist specializing in paedophilia. he told me that he became a social pariah to some degree because of his choice of specialization. we came to a conclusion that there should be something like a course, or a book, 'paedophilia for beginners', so people would know that it is not a disease, so they won't discriminate (Krill pointed that out well: it is a medical condition, NOT an act - and, reportedly, it makes life more miserable than you could ever imagine) and would not panic and spit over a shoulder right away at a sole mention of it.
but that's exactly what some of you did, so i assume we were right. there IS an education needed.

I guess people get paranoid and freak out when they click or even open the release with that term (or as a book title even worse!) quite understandable given the lack of education and the conspiracy monitoring (NSA, Google whoever else). Ignorance is bliss. |

Since paedophilia has it's own key in the ICD (International Classification of Deseases) F65.4, it should be clear that we talk about a desease.
But sadly most people aren't able (and aren't willing) to differentiate...
BTW: Most sexual crimes concerning children AREN'T commited by paedophilans... (which doensn't make it any better at all) |

and most paedophiles never actually touch a child for that matter.
personally, i find it scary that even organizations that help those people to deal with their problem (and thus prevent actual abuse) get the flak for it. reminds me a lot of those fundamentalist idiots who dont want their kids being taught about sexuality in school, because "that will make them gay" or something equally stupid. |

I want to chime in that my comment "Crappy title" was made to express in a humorous way, that without the backstory its double meaning is predestined to be misunderstood and kindle controversy. And sadly, distract from the marvellous outstanding song. |
