Event id #263 : Game On

just to mention it, this entry is clearly fucked up :=)

1. there should be a seperate entry for every single game on democompo
2. games published by game on should not be linked to a game on "event", thats just stupid.

as for number 1, any volunteer to go through the game on disks and collect the compo results? =P

Offtopic:

I found back in the days hidden demos on Magic Disk or Game On...
Dont't know which one.

I mean with hidden, that they were hidden in the directory and i used a tool to make them visible.

I know only, that this was usually on side 1 of a disk afaik.

But i doubt somehow that this would be a real new release :(

@Shine: that sounds thrilling, though - I'd sure count it as a release, with the release month of the respective magazine issue, if those demos were not released otherwise before. I would just mention that in the trivia.

As i said i don't know the date correctly ... but the early version of MD and GO had no music. And the disk(s) that i mean had music. It should be between 1990 and 1993.

In the Game On article he is credited for handing in the winning demo 'Rainbow Warrior' so I guess he also coded the demo ?

Great work xIII! I wonder if there wasn't some sort of compo also in earlier years - many older issues had at least one demo on them as well, see https://www.c64-wiki.com/wiki/Game_On . For example Obsession was released on 10/92, and there must be some reason why it was entered here as a compo participant/winner...

I think those demos were just diskfillers but I will look into it. I have a poblem with opening some disks because they have a disk protection system.
