Release id #86119 : Untitled

"Untitled"?

Seriously?

This is supposed to be a database. How can scads of unnamed graphics entries be cross referenced?

WHAT WAS THE TITLE OF THESE ENTRIES ON THE DISKETTE? THAT would be the title!

As you can see in the disk image attached to the entry the name of the file is "DIGGER/ATLANTIC3".
I suppose that could be entered as AKA if desired.

He uploaded the EXACT SAME disk image for every single untitled release. Lazy, lazy, lazy.

Ramos, care to clean this up please?

The entire database has it like this, often there is no title and on the disk you just see the name of the guy who made the graphic.

Somebody has a good idea on how to solve this ;)

deleting all the lame crap would leave little over for a database CBA ;)

I vote for some kind of visual search option, like Cooliris or the like in order to circumvent the problems of memory (and names).

@ Ed: Hm... a tagging system? That'd be awesome. I imagine no small amount of work for Perff, but awesome nonetheless.

However, the fact remains that 20+ entries were added with the EXACT SAME .zip file--- two D64s in a single archive--- all of which are redundantly stored here on the CSDb. Usually the "Defenders of the Archive" would be all over this, but they have been notably silent.

The D64s should technically be parsed through and reupped to their respective entries. Some of these graphics have music and effects, so I would argue that they would no longer be considered a graphics entry but a single file demo. A database is only as good as its accuracy and efficiency.

I'll eventually get around to fixing them if RaMoS can't be arsed to do it.

The title would be "Bank Robbery" or "Napad na Bank" in Polish. Konuss was fascinated by that theme back then. :)
