Project One & Win8
Hmm seems like I hit the Win8 wall too!
Is it really true that there is no workaround the Project One + Win8 problem ??
And no, I don't want to get rid of Win8... =)
Is there no way we can persuade Oswald to do a Win8 compatible version ??
Oswald Pleeeease =) |

Quote: would make more sense to Open Source the .net version that I have started on, but its not in a co-op state and not developing it currently, main gui, setting pixels works kind of and nothing else, no I/O, undo, converter part, whatsoever.
Then it makes more sence to open source the VB version |

who would want to play with a SRC which creates a mostly incompatible exe ?
but if anyone is up to do anything with either vb6 or .net version, just drop me a line :) |

If JackAsser is taking his hands on the best painting program ever made for C64 then I wanna be a beta tester (on the beta .net version too) ASAP! :D |

I suspect the "reliability rollup for microsoft .net framework 4.x.x" update appeared last October automagically solved the issue with P1 and win8/10. |

P1 is working like charme in a windows 10 64bit VM since last year. ** Hint ** : I installed a windows 7 (64bit) first, then P1, after that i upgraded the machine to windows 10. So its possible to work with P1 on Win10. Maybe they fixed something?
Pixcen isn't bad either, but scroll-wheel and some diffuse handling features will still holding me @P1. Good Tool Oswald <3 Simple, Easy ... |

True, Pixcen is very good but lacks some features and flexibility of P1, there's also another great painting software called Multipaint, but it's file requester is sooo bad. MP could be the DeluxePaint for C64...
So for now I'm pushing our talented coder Slajerek to make a PERFECT painting soft :D
(it is always hardest way with coders) |

Project One works fine on Windows 10 now. That was after one of the win10 updates a good few months back. |
