Search results different when logged in vs logged out

Searching for the string "M.U.L.E", when logged out I get 22 release results, but when logged in I only get 4. It's the same weirdness whether I use the simple search bar on the right, or the advanced search; and regardless of searching All or just Releases.

Discussing this on IRC, others always see the full 22 results whether they're logged in or out.

The 4 release results I see are

M.U.L.E.
M.U.L.E. Main
M.U.L.E.
The M.U.L.E Theme

I get 22 both when I'm logged in or not on "M.U.L.E" and 21 on "M.U.L.E."

Have you checked what your CSDb view mode is? Stands right above the search bar in the top-line just before "You are logged in as ...".
You won't see it here in the forum, so go to the frontpage or some entrypage.
I would expect it says "Demo scene", and then it only shows demos etc. and not cracks. :)

Ah, I did not see that WF left the dot off at the end. I get 22 for M.U.L.E as well.

There's nothing but "You are logged in as White Flame" on that entire bar.

After looking around, I found the settings page, and yeah it's in Demo scene mode. The "Show view mode in top bar" is not checked. I've never touched that stuff, so presumably that was a default?

Always displaying the mode when reporting search results could be a good way to communicate what's going on. I had no clue those modes even existed! :-)

It's visible on home page, and the default is "Normal" unless you click on it by error.

It's not visible on my home page. It might have been accidental, but I seriously don't recall ever seeing or interacting with the option at all.
