Unknown Realm - new C64 RPG on Kickstarter!

I know it is a bit lemony, but I have been excited ever since Mermaid posted the news on fb (no, she is NOT doing the gfx; or is she? ;-), so I couldn't resist sharing it here as well:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stirringdragongames/unknow..

This sure looks AWESOME!

I was about to post this, but thought it was too lemony for here... ;-)
I just backed it, 154 Dollars hopefully well spent. :D

A bit lemony indeed. But I hope it will be finished. I Backed it already. And no, Mermaid is not involved. :)

Raised $31,365?? Wow. We should totally make Kickstarters for our demos from now on. Anyone wants a pre-release ziplock bag edition of the new BD demo with a booklet, some stickers, a personal greeting in the greetings part, your portray featured in the demo pixelled by Mirage, and an afterparty with the members of the group? Just pledge $49 or more.

A cute project nevertheless.

Gfx are retro too, even for C64 standards. I'm not fond of the blocky map scroll either.

Just to be clear, the "lemony" referred to the thread topic, not the game itself. :-)
I got myself a special treat there, of ccourse.

frankly I'd pay $49 for that :D

on topic: the game looks awesome, and I applaud the brave usage of cartridge, showing how much more the c64 can do with a better I/O. NES eat yer heart out :)

What Jailbird said. Also reminds me of my game project that that I've been working on as a low priority background process for 10+ years. Definitely tempting to try something like that. 😊

They seem so close to $65,536 goal. They might want to add REU now. ;)
