I'd ask Jerkin Often if he knows if Johnny comes lately.

Did he say whether he was pre- or post 1990?
Did he mention any groups he was in or had contact with?
Did he name drop The Bandit or Candyman or anyone?

I've never heard of the guy, but 1986-1989 was my time. He might have been before or after that though.

Meh, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. His claims of "elite" are a bit dubious (as POW has only one credit) and he is not even listed in the member roster... but it doesn't really matter. The NTSC scene was vastly larger than what is evidenced here on this database.

Next time you talk to him, ask him if he still has his disks. Tell him that there are quite a few people out there who would LOVE to get a former NTSC scener's collection for preservation purposes.

He said he went to Amiga about 1990. I got 2 a500 and 2 a2000 systems from him today with at least 1500 disks. I didn't see any 5.25 disks in his stuff. He says he has a lt. Kernal that he ran a board on but we couldn't find it today. That lt kernal may be loaded with ntsc warez if it can be found.

Cool! Perhaps you should steer him here so he can add stuff that he knows about his corner of the "scene".

I'd love to see some of the Nashville local scene stuff if there's any in that collection. (Amiga, too)
