WinVICE and window dragging

Hi all,

It's a while that for working reasons I switched to a Windows7 setup and of course very soon I installed WinVICE in this box.

There is a behavior that I find a little odd and probably just due to a libraries/compiling issue, that is when you drag the WinVICE window, the emulation freezes. This is quite annoying, especially if you are enjoying a SID tune.

Is there any trick or workaround to avoid this? Is a dragging friendly build possible?

Best,

During a drag Windows is running its own message pump so the control never gets back to VICE main loop until the mouse button is released. It might be possible to circumvent with an update timer, or a second thread for updates, but in any case you'd be looking at a major change to the main loop.

See for example http://www.gamedev.net/topic/488074-win32-message-pump-and-open..
