Netherworld titlemusic

For years I have been wondering how the titlemusic of Hewson's Netherworld game (by Yip/Pure-byte) was really meant to sound.

It is undoubtedly a very tricky tune to play since it seems to have more than one layer of samples being used at once.

Of Stone Oakvalley's recordings R4 sounds the most complete but it seems to omit a bass sound that is so audible on R5 recording.

Also with Sidplayer the song sounded pretty much like Stone Oakvalley's R4 recording. Is that really how it should sound? Might there be a better recording somewhere? Any thoughts?

The tune is clearly not meant for the 8580 R5 since the samples are almost not audible there.

Btw, there are 2 versions of the tune:

/MUSICIANS/Y/Yip/Netherworld.sid

and

/MUSICIANS/Y/Yip/Netherworld_preview.sid

The samples are played very loud which suppresses the bass of voice 3.

The tune sounds almost the same on each 6581 revision since the filter of the SID isn't used.
