Nukebusters   (NB)

Founded by :
Porsche & Ghost in 1985

Group Types :
Demo Group, Cracker Group

Base Country :
New Zealand

Trivia :
The group name NUKEBUSTERS was thought up by the co-founder of the group, Ghost who wanted a name that was symbolic of New Zealand's anti-nuclear policy.

Nukebusters was the first group in New Zealand and the only group from this country to ever really do anything on the world scene on the C64. In 1988 they started to concentrate on the Amiga which now looked back upon on as
a big mistake. In 1989 they became the New Zealand division of ACU (Australian Crackers United), the largest and best ever group from Australia/the southern hemisphere (Amiga). In 1989 they also had a C64 division in Germany but this died after about six months due to communication problems.

Updated their history and base country, anyone have contact with Porsche these days?

@Robin: they had some German members for a short time. They were based in New Zealand.

Nukebusters were the first group with members in Germany & New Zealand! Nukebusters were active on C-64 and Amiga.
