Despite its flaws, still one of my all-time favourites due to the (mostly) fabulous soundtrack, the "legacy of C64/Commodore" thematic elements and several nice effects.

Two things I don't really like in this demo are the completely empty black screens and the sudden transitions from one music to another. A single undivided soundtrack (hello, Cauldron!) and smoother transitions would make this demo even better. But yeah, otherwise, top notch it is!

thanks guys :) the remaining 15% would have been shrinking the long pauses when switching music + a planned part which manifested as error 23 last part, the cubic filled tunnel, even there tho its a half assed version.

Coming back to this every now and then. Still totally rocks! Oswald, you rule. Period!

Ahead of its time and still holds its own even today.

Stuck at 85%? @Oswald Can you tell us what else was planned in the remaining 15%? Does anyone else know?

Stunning demo! How is this demo still not in the top ten? A testament to what has come since I guess, but still a top ten demo.

Always cool to watch this again. It is truly a milestone demo.

Not only because of the epic soundtrack, many of its melodies are etched into my brain. Glenn's best work I think

Great demo. A bit rough around the edges at times.
The ever changing music sounds great. The plot tunnel, the floffy, the light source / bump-map, all great stuff. Its even got fireworks at the end.

The overall design is quite inconsistent (a common mistake I see in Resource demos). But everything else is top notch. Gotta love it.

This demo is 10 places too low. It's one of my favorite demos, and I still don't understand why is it so low...
It got everything a good demo needs and even more. I love the music in this demo, GRG did a damn terrific job. Well, so did the coders and graphicians. Gotta love the proper textured twister :P.

Seriously, this demo gets a honest and golden 10 from me.

I havent seen this for a long time, and actually managed to look at it now with "virgin" eyes, ie. not being tired of having seen it already 1000 times. If I may say this at my own demo: it was great :)

Awesome demo, the vector city, the textured tunnel and the overall syncronization between effects and music really puts this demo in a class of its own. This is top 10 material for sure! Brilliant work, if its not finished (?), i hope to see a 100% version... one day :-)

Pop.sid by GRG in HVSC is a revised version, not the one used in this demo.

Me too like this demo better than Desert Dream. Not so nice linking (85% still?), but lots of good stuff in here.

Don't know about Deus Ex Machina, but at the very least this deserves to be ranked higher than Desert Dream. I'd say it should be among the top ten demos.

One of my favorite demos of alltime. Great soundtrack & syncing. Too bad it lacks designs.

deserves a place on #1 in top demos more than Deus Ex Machina, in my opinion... polished coderporn of the best kind... pity that the twister near the end looks so odd...

but I love the end-tune <3 gave me shivers all over at the start, then made me dance :D

coderpron meets audiopron meets syncmeisters

and the bumpshaded face is the best I've ever seen

Great demo, one of my all time favorites. There should be a law that says you must watch this at least three times per year.

Love it. Best c64 demo seen in years (codewise), really inspiring.
Fantastic music also, and good gfx.
This one goes directly to the hall of fame.

One of my late favoritest, among with Insomnia. A lot of pixelres effects inspired by famous Amiga demos (Desert Dreams, Technological Death, World of Commodore). The bump mapping and that light mask are the most impressive (Imagine the surprise of some PC sceners during these parts, running at Medron's C64 at ReAct2003 :)

No need to say that effects, music, gfx are high quality here - but I'd like to comment of the great feeling which this demo creates with the texts and ideas represented in sad but awesome context. One of my personal favourites that I tend to show to my non-c64-freak friends too. :)

Wow, this demo KIXX ASS!! It's got many "big" effects, that doesn't look chunky at all (not just 4x4 all over the place). It's got all kinds of cool amiga-ish effects - none of the effects are lame! You should definately check it out, and you should check it out on a real C64.
