@e5frog

Yes, yes and yes.....or what ? Many interesting points to solve........

i´m currently working on a new version...
no load adress is saved in the output data...just change the load adress in the sourcecode to load the bitmap to your place. Auto-reset after changing colors will be fixed, 16 colors version in test-phase.

If an antivirus doesn't even know UPX means it's really lame, uninstall and use another.

Sorry for spamming, no edit and no delete. I figured it was UPX so I downloaded that and decompressed it to glorious 848kB instead of 301kB - no complaints from antivirus anymore. Is it really worth the trouble to pack it and save 500kB? ;-)
Program seems to work fine, a bit slow, I would have liked adjustments on the original bitmap (brightness, contrast). Why doesn't it auto-reset when I change colors (4-6)? Would have liked to see several alternative settings at once so I could compare live.
How come there's a limit to 6 colors, you could use all 16 colors on the screen when drawing one manually, right? Within the multicolor limits of course. I can't load a png from WinVICE and have it converted to the same image?
Will check it out some more and maybe look for other options, I mainly need it for B/W at this time.
Thanks! Hang in there.

Perhaps it's packed with an ativirus-program-known tool? So a non packed exe would work fine?

AVG doesn't react until program is started, when searching the .exe it has no problems...

AVG Free reacted to it, unknown identity threat. As well as 1.263. Tested it at virustotal.com: failed 3/57 which is rather good I guess: HW32.Packed.29E9 by Bkav, TrojanClicker.VBiframe.mu by Jiangmin, Trojan.Win32.Agent2.detkxl by NANO-Antivirus
Could you build it some other way so it won't be detected as a virus. I was going to check if data could be saved as known file types... or if I have to convert the out put myself to stuff the data in an already made program. It would have been quite handy if the user could manually set the addresses where to output the data.

any idea why - is it possible you could work around it?
