Yes, that must be true. But maybe rather the title is then misleading: as I am not only aiming the platform independency, but also making use of some of the platform-specific features at the same time when possible. (Probably I make another revision of the whole theme another few years later. It is neither meant to be a final document - much rather a report or a summary of a present state.)

a bit too much generic programming stuff intermixed with the other info, imho - this document would benefit from all this stuff being removed i think (eg copying memory in a loop using indirect addressing vs selfmodding has nothing to do with "platform independent code")
