In my opinion "Datalife Verbatim" is one of the best sids ever made. In the last part, music and design together create a very cool atmosphere. I bet, the person watching this part proudly stands up in the chair, becomes serious and even has a fucker expression on his face;) I even watch the demo for the last part only.

Technically it might not be the most impressive, but I love this demo for its concept and execution and the tribute stuff all looks cool.
You don't need to have the most impressive tech stuff to make some cool effects and a cool demo.
This demo proves that and runs on creativity.

I really enjoyed this one but that's why I wish it was longer, like a double sided demo. It feels too short for me. (too) Short but very sweet. Loved it.

@Clarence

"Afaik, RSC logo is done by AmN, DRM logo by Archmage to be precise."

Not very precise, Clarence. I did the design and outline of the RSC-logo. AmN did the dithering. 50/50 I would say.

Back when this was first released, all I remembered was the Kung-Fu pt. I don't remember being all that impressed.
Today I viewed the demo in a different light. It's great. The audio is great.

Changed my credit from "Graphics" to "Help", coz I just did some minor retouches on one hires bitmap. My graphics are usually not up to the code standard. ;) GREAT DEMO!

Looove the remixed SIDs, that really made me a Gänsehaut %)
I'm dreaming of an intro for Bruce Lee reloaded, looking just like this Bruce Lee Part.

Did I just got credited for putting down 10+ pixels? =)

Great demo, love the flow, but it lacks a bit design-wise.

Ahhh, here's the Norman vs Follin vs Ninja tunes. How many groups are you actually in, Linus? Two? Three? four? five? six? ;)

And here was me, thinking someone had vowed to never do D'n'B again. Nevertheless, "Datalife Verbatin" is likely one of Linus's finer moments, albeit a little short.

@Clarence: the RSC logo outline was done by Archmage, and then the filling by AMN & Archmage (I think the first rough filling was done by Archmage, then AMN filled it in, then Archmage made some final touches when it became clear we won't even make it to BP and there's time).

DRM logo is 100% Archmage. Just to be ultra-annoyingly precise. :)

Btw, it was nice to see Ninja coding a Ninja effect. :)

@Tempest

"I especially enjoyed Archmage's logos and the kung fu part. "

Afaik, RSC logo is done by AmN, DRM logo by Archmage to be precise.

How can anything with NINJAS _not_ be cool? :D Good thing it doesnt feature Chick Norris ;)

Submitted by Burglar on 21 July 2009
Bruce Lee ftw!

Those anims are so cool, hands down best part of the demo.

Also, this demo features The Best soundtrack at LCP this year. It adds so much to the demo in terms of flow, sync and theme, like when the second part starts (with that very cool forrest pic) and the music changes for the tunnel effect. thats proper direction, very good.

oh, and that endtune, Linus w00h00 \o/

Oswald: I always get Bruce Lee and Bruce Le mixed up! Same goes for Chuck and Chick Norris...

Anyway, congrats for a cool demo. I especially enjoyed Archmage's logos and the kung fu part. The rest was also well implemented.

the thing that got me first with this is the music, d&b styling =) . the start and end , were nice use of images we all know. I guess most of the people would comment on the bruce lee thing. very nice demo, just seems a bit disjointed is my only criticism if I had to make one.

Very nice demo, and much more polished than we're used to from Resource+Dreams (or maybe it's just me, still refering to Real and Error23). I use to be that bitch complaining and voting low on demos that are still in work stage. At the party i thought this one would take the #1. Great work!!

Very good stuff! I love Paul Norman's music and I love this tribute. It's well polished, good coding, new effects etc. All the things you expect from a 2x-post poned resource+dreams demo. :D

Supa fresh!
I thought it was great with a "design" demo that doesn't look like it's done in flash...
Music is great and the Forbidden Forest part was just beautiful. Thanks!

Cool stuff with the datasette and the heart on the keyboard.
I liked the Bruce Lee and Ninja stuff, but it was lacking smoothness.
8/10 if I'd vote...

A solid, above-average demo with a few outstanding parts. The best moment for me was the datasette part, deep inside I am still a 1531 man...

And at least this demo had a sort of a concept, even though not a 100% coherent one.

Love the last music the most. Dont really like the fadeouts between the musics, feels rushed. Otherwise great demo.

Great musical pieces by Linus again, the routines seem to be upgrades and the graphics are pretty. A pitty it feels like a press space to continue demo with all the fades.
