I don't understand why an anonymous would idiotically vote this 1. Not as if it's the worst SID ever, Jammer or not.

Raf has a point there. Also, the GT player seems to write to SID registers AFTER all the track/pattern/buffer logic is processed, which consumes variable CPU time. Preferably I would write the resulting SID register values FIRST, and using ghost-registers is the only way to achieve that... unless you recompile GT source code with your own changes.

@Ian_Coog: I had the same sort of problem when I released "Midnight Cruise", and ended up writing dirty code to use the 2nd SID registers as ghost registers, and write it away at a completely absurd rasterline position. Then again, that was 2008, when emulation was still poor! :)

Anyway, great work Kamil! :) Not your best 2SID, but I know you didn't have a lot of time anyway. I'm just glad you participated again in a 2SID compo!

Jammer, maybe turning off the screen could help with quality as bad lines (cpu halts) would not occur

FATFrost: Maybe You've listened to it with one sid ;)

It happens that Goat tunes suffer from serious issues when placed in wrong line ;) I assume it applies also to stereo GT. Delayed sid writing was recommended by Cadaver himself. From 2.72 Goat has implemented alternative pipeline for playback, still I have delay implemented in my executable template. ;)

Impressive. Use $D420 as 2nd sid address.
Technical Q to Jammer: was there really a reason to use delayed sidwrites, as it first writes both shadow sid regs to $6000-$6038 then transfers $6000 to $d400 prior to calling another time $1003. Would sound worse/too different to write directly to sid regs?
