Actually, $0e sucks only in closed version. Here somehow it works flawless with whole conmposition ;)

This is very nicely done. I'm guessing it pixelled from a rendering of the 3D model on the Kickstarter; getting the angles looking good in the C64's limitations takes some skill! Taking away the borders does enhance it further. I actually quite like the side-border colour, not everything need to be black!

had a chat with JonEgg, he wondered why I didn't use black for the border :)
it seems Knight Rider's train is very guilty in this case. "let's make a demo about it!" :)

Funny, who said the pic I uploaded was authorized. hahah.

As for the borders, please change them. I was in a rush to rip and upload, had 4 mins until my train.

border sprites add a lot, nice job, sideborder would have been better with $0b

@Yogibear: I agree with you 100%. also $d020 = #$01, or #$02, or #$0b aren't that bad. prolly #$0e is the worst color combination for the border, but I wanted to keep the one as in the original piccy.

Black sideborders would make it even better!

It really adds more greatness to the original (which is stunning but I haven't enjoyed closed light blue border that much).

@Jammer, there isn't much art from me. if you check the pixels carefully you see the upper sprites is mainly a ctrl-C/ctrl-V job from the first 4-5 bitmap rowchars and the bottom ones ctrl-C/ctrl-V from rowchars 20th-25th :)
@ZeRyk, I also thought about doing ESCOS, you need 1x hires X-expanded sprite on the left border and 2 or 3 MC unexpanded sprites on the right border. and 8x hires X-expanded sprites instead of 7 in the upper/lower borders. The deal is: you do the ++ version and I'll ingloriously introlink it! :)

Nice addition, ZeSmasher.

Now all it needs is one unexpanded MC sprite or two at bottom right to finish off that last little asteroid that was clipped by the border in the original ;)
