Hi! I just took this out from your work:
Alternate CHARGEN: ZX Spectrum + PETSCII Symbols

It's an alternate CHARGEN ROM, fully compatible with PETSCII glyphs.

Thanks!

"i am grown up by now... hehe.... but we must keep the c64 vs zx figth alive..."

no, we should not. nowadays, the 8-/16-bit scenes TOGETHER are about as big as the whole PC scene. we should all join forces against the evil PC (Windoze) scene! ;_)

Sorry Fman, to ruin your day again, but I remember having a complete Spectrum Emulator for C64 that had the font.
So there's not much new about it. ;)

I did the ZX81 font for C64 a while back, but it didnt cross my mind to release it. Quite a strange release indeed, but I guess no one was asking me anyway :)

I agree with Oswald that such a font would be hard to read on a TV, provided one uses a dark background and a light foreground (on my old monitor single white pixels would appear to be red). I've noticed that when inverting the colors (dark/black foreground and light background) fonts become quite readable, as seen in quite a few diskmags in the 90's, IIRC.

wow, didnt loose a bit of its uglyness the last years
for those who want an (on the c64) unusable thin font, i recommend vic20 charset

on the real thing on a real tv 1 pixel wide hires vertical lines are hardly visible => this font would be hard to read.

I dunno, I don't think that fight has to go on. IMO it's childish. It's only fun for so long.
