So the bug is in the intro only?

I've traced what happens. Apparantly the C128 gets turned into 2 Mhz mode. This is because of a call to a kernal-routine at $e5aa from $0f47 with X-register at $ff. This will load a value outside the ROM-table that sets the 2 Mhz-bit. The jump should probably go to $e5a8 which sets the X-register correctly.

Appreciate that people still are doing cracks, but a crack that is less compatible than the original is somehow lame. (Of course I'm referring to the C64 mode of the C128).

Strange, but it's fine as long it works on C64.

Ok, confirmed: Doesn't work on two of my C128s! Does work on the SX64.

Interesting... This crack just shows me a scrambled screen after the Intro on my C128, while the original game works.
On the Vice C128 emulator it also works. Any idea? Maybe I can try with another C128 too.
