Support for the 1541 Ultimate 2 would be awesome. Wake up Gideon :)

I don't have a U2 to test my program with. I mailed the author (Gideon?) some time ago and asked a few questions about using the U2 DMA with sidplay64, but got no reply... yet.

Works fine with 1541U-II, if you use Software IEC and compile your own firmware. What is required is to remove four bytes in the iec_channel.h. You remove the adding of .prg to when loading a file - and then it works. SID:s need to be on root of sd card and names maximum 16 characters, no need for .sid on the files if you want those four bytes for the name. Hopefully the author of this great program will be able to use the new Command Interface.
Here's an edited 2.6h+ (revision 141)

I also have only MMC64. Supporting it would be very nice!

Maybe you could ask if TNT has some routines which could help you.

He's probably one of best coders for MMC64 plugins etc. He's released eg. MMC64 Browser which is *WAY* more user friendlier than MMC64's own browser. It can go inside .d64 or .t64 formats and launch stuff from there. Autobootable version of it is 9712bytes and in .prg format it is 9646bytes.

He's also done MMC64+RR Disk Image Mounter
I haven't tested it, but the plugins takes 23 011 bytes for .d64 mounter and 23 033 bytes for .d71 mounter.

Sidplay64 is 3573 - 3860 bytes depending on which device it is intended for. Maybe you could do Sidplay64 for MMC64 as plugin. There's already a alternative SID player plugin for MMC64 made by fieserWolf/Metalvotze :: check http://wolf.openskynet.de/pub/siwplgin/siwplgin0_03.zip.

retrohackers.com forum has lots of info on coding for MMC64: http://retrohackers.com/viewforum.php?f=7

I found a bug. If you have HSVC 55 extracted to an SD2IEC device, and you use the SD2IEC version, navigate to Demos/Unknown. When you try to scroll through the directory it resets back to the top once you get into the B's.

After some further testing, this only happens after playing the "ARMEGETDOWN.SID" file, so it's probably some kind of side-effect in the PSID's player.

thanks a lot of keeping this tool up to date, Glenn. I appreciate your effort a lot! I use this tool a lot for real C64 experience!
I agree that MMC replay support would be useful.

@booker: The smallest and easiest way is to just use the TOD registers (as the clock). Like I do here. I save memory, i get more free cycles. But cannot ffwd time.
@Monte Carlo: Yes. I want that too. But mmc64 coding takes too much memory. I think.

Cool stuff. With 1541ultimate I can now listen to .sid files straight from the SD card + navgating through the directories. Najs!!!

Not sure though why when tune is being fast forwarded the display clock is not.

Cheers GRG
