| It doesn't seem to work for me. Ok, if I'm lucky some kind soul will make a proper .sid out of Hexadecimal 2SID then. :) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 3 January 2013
I think $d420, $de00, and $df00 are more common in actual 2sid hardware. At least in more recent day 2sid hardware. Not sure for older 2sid hardware though. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
(The latter two adresses may of course conflict with common carts, but everyone knows that...) | User Comment Submitted by Fred on 3 January 2013
@Dane: $D500 is fine. In the header of the SID file you can specify the address of the second SID chip. See the SID file format specification.
You can write $50 at offset $007A in the SID header to specify $D500. Make sure you set the SID file header version to $0003. | User Comment Submitted by Dane on 3 January 2013
| Trying to make my first 2SID...so what adress does this version recognise as the second chip? (In my player I used D500, but that can be fixed I suppose) | User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 11 November 2012
| Damn! I mean, how the HELL could I skip this one for so long? Awesome release, in retrospect. | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 10 November 2012
| Could you guys please make a new skin for Sidplay2/w? I saw this Linux player XMMS-SID 0.8.99.2 and I get a bit jealous! :) | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 20 October 2012
Awesome work! Thank you guys for Sidplay/w 2.6 !!!!
10/10
(I use it already nearly a year, I thought it is time to thank you!) | User Comment Submitted by Pouso-G on 3 May 2012
Will we get the mixer back? :D
Great release! | User Comment Submitted by booker on 8 March 2012
Nice work Inge!
@Jammer, it's not filter saturation on 8580, it's signal overdrive bug :) And yes, it's not emulated.

| Just going through the 2SID tunes, thanks for the option to hear them. Great. | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 27 December 2011
Finally, my favourite SID player which now supports 2SIDs, including mono-ouput playback! \o/
One little bug I noticed... after you select "mono" on playback settings, and then you select another .sid, it resets to "stereo" again. Not a biggie though.
Anyway, thanks guys for the great work! | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 24 December 2011
sidplay2w.exe uses resampling (a bit more heavy on the CPU)
sidplay2w-int.exe uses interpolation (less CPU intensive) | User Comment Submitted by Monte Carlos on 24 December 2011
What is the difference between the two .exe's sidplay2w.exe and sidplay2w_int.exe?

| player identification! stereo support! marvellous. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 24 December 2011
| Already in use here :D I see that PolyTracker bugs have been fixed, splendid. Booker told me recently about 8580's feature that hasn't been emulated so far. Precisely, SID starts to saturate and choke by the lowest cutoff. I remember having been really upset hearing my Galaxy Bounce recorded from real thing and thought - WTF? Actually, that's a nice example of this phenomenon. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 24 December 2011 User Comment Submitted by PAL on 23 December 2011
there are a lot of presents for us on the scene this year... feels great!

| Is it just me, or does this one sound ALOT better than 2.5? Keep up the good work. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 23 December 2011
This is not the final version but works. There are some bugs but nothing that compromises normal usage. Should have been released at LCP 2011 but time isn't always available when you need it.
Inge agreed to release this version anyway, must keep ppl happy until the final debug is done. |
