There is actually a great opportunity to be inventive, when crosshatching things like that. Now, black is supposed to be a no-no for some, however, without the horizontal bleeding (vertical bars) on modern tft's that's all part of the past. Still, as usual it would have been great to see a authentic screen-dump.

The transitions between the different fields of colors... From the variety of colored contours there's a double sized outline to take care of.
