If I was a graphician I'd hate you so much for pushing the limits of imagination so far and beyond, always creating something that did not exist before... But I'm not a graphician :D
Kudos man! | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 5 February 2013
| Limits of creativity are only set by ourselves... we create because we feel something needs to be let out from our inner self. If we open our hearts all creativeness will be released unto the world. life is about learning that we need to love ourselves so others can love us too. Don't hide from life, do anything you can to experience the love of others and you will create a new inspiriatonal zest that others will be attracted to. | User Comment Submitted by psycho8580 on 5 February 2013

| Who cares about nr of colors or limitations anymore? Just look at it.Glad we have you in here. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 18 October 2012
As Jak T Rip already figured: This was a remark on CRRN's image, framing an interior view with an exterior. I doubled the image by actually making the reflected self image come around, not only to give the explicit view of the repeated figure, the symbol of twins - or Janus, which got unveiled in this one, but to play on the next level of information. I like CRRN's work very much.
"We don't see much difference between time and space. We don't know where one begins and the others stops... So that most of the arts we think of as being in time and most of the art we think of as being in space... - - - When I try to find in the past, something which... oh, I don't know what to say, but something which i love. I don't mean to make any distinction about my own past and the past of musical culture. I think, that what is most invigorating for me is the music which has not yet been written. I want something which I don't yet know. And I do my best each moment like that, something that I'm not familiar with.
There's a remark by Marcel Duchamp, which I love very much, he states it as a goal: To reach the impossibility of transferring from one like image to another, the memory imprint. We don't have to have tradition, if we somehow free ourselves from our memories. Then each thing that we see, is new, it's as though we've become tourists. And that we were living in countries, that were very exciting. Because we don't know them.
I can't tell anybody how to listen or how to look, I certainly can't tell them what to remember, particularly when I don't want to remember anything myself. If I look at a coca-cola bottle, and then look at another coca-cola bottle, I want to forget about the first coca-cola bottle, in order to see the second coca-cola bottle as being original. And it is original because it is in a different position in space and time and light are shining on it differently, so that no two coca-cola bottles are the same."

| Very inspiring piece! Instantly reminds me of the movie Strange Days, which I think is due to the combination of futuristic elements and fireworks. Technical wizardry as expected from Mr Svärd. My only objection would be that there is way too much green in the mix, but that is nothing but nitpicking. :) | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 17 June 2012
One of my all time favourites.
Hmm, could it be that Joe's Fire inspired Carrion's Vampire and this is inspired by the Vampire in the oven again?
Anyway, I love it. The right hand is wonderful. The shading good. The mix of moods (happy fireworks, modern buildings and android, still a slightly nostalgish wish in the expression of the face... beats me. "reflection" has a double meaning here. | User Comment Submitted by iLKke on 16 June 2012
Still not sure why this didn't win!
Looked so good on the big screen

I'm fucking speechless. Wow.
And really glad that lately Joe does more technical than artistic graphics (although this work is both technical AND artistic). Respect. | User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 12 June 2012 User Comment Submitted by duce on 12 June 2012 User Comment Submitted by CRRN on 11 June 2012

| Great stuff indeed, you have a c64-palette of your own. If you pardon me, I really like the colors and cleanness in 'workstage 7' too. :) | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 11 June 2012
| Great stuff as usual, Joe! Congratulations :) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 11 June 2012
| Masterpiece. My no. 1 in the compo. | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 11 June 2012
| I see ten pixels that don't do it for me. The rest are just great. Good motive as well! Your best piece so far. | User Comment Submitted by Achim on 11 June 2012
| Outstanding. A class of it's own. I really wonder how long it took you to pixel this. | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 11 June 2012
| Well what to say? It is just really really great and one of your best. The things you do are so professional... I could comment on the fact that you have done similar images in the past but rather than that I just give you a stright 10 for the perfected crafts in this... I think the series of images of yours are simply amazing, and I really love this one! | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 11 June 2012
| Pixel overload! My synapses have fried with digital delight! Thanks for the rush. :) | User Comment Submitted by Conrad on 11 June 2012

| Tell me, who needs any other fancy gfx modes when you can do this with simple multicolor? This is most likely the reference of the format. Congratulations! | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 10 June 2012
Absolutely amazing. Possibly Joe’s best picture on C64
@Groepaz There is nothing boring about Joes style. The style is unbelievably Joe. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 10 June 2012
