That constant vertical split is really quite subtle and not quite so easy to do at all when you have stuff like AFLI gfx! ;-) Nicely styled, i like!

Thanks to all!

Clarence: Yeah! Pretty sick transitions :-D Easy way in a few rasterlines. :) Some of them more than a transition. For example while removing the rasta boy image, it transfer and clear memory to initialize work area for the dot scroll ($B000-$F7FF. This memory transactions requires 4-6 secs with the split.)
I had a small headache when I made the tape transition, because it have some sprites. But the end, the simple add/remove method is totally OK here :) MANY THANX for VICE! (Decrease emulation speed to 10% :D It was very helpful here.)

Mixer: I can not test it on C64sx. :( But the raster splits usually has a grey half pixel bug, when write the background or border color register. (I don't know exactly why, but I think while write to the register some lines became to third state and they usually 1, so finally become 1111b which is the light grey.)
On the top/bottom border can be cover with sprites, but it requires to remove the border, need to write $d021 too, plus sprites will steal some cycles. Too much resources. On the side border there are a few bugs in every bad scan lines. This is the first place when I can write to $d020 because of bad scan line. Only way maybe if remove side border and put green sprites here. More 2 cycles per line, so its not acceptable.

At last: Coding this cycle timing based effects sometimes was a nightmare! But I enjoyed it very much!

Nice intro.

(Not to nitpick, but run it with x64sc 2.4. The split on the character area is not aligned with border splits, it is 1 pixel left of middle after text comes on, and there are couple of yellow pixels on the right edge of the character area. But, if it works right on the real thing then fine.)

Yeah. Very subtle way of showing off a technically great achievement. And very nice audio & visuals as well.

Very cool, running a permanent full screen background split during several parts and transitions is pretty sick and slick. Nice work guys, escpecially Scorpy. :)
