v0.9.1 was released yesterday, I'm not going to update this release here due to the "scene conventions" that make no sense for software like this. Tarballs are available from the homepage, as usual.

Officially, you should make a new entry for every single version you release.
It's not the right practice to update this entry everytime.

0.8.98.2: Buildsystem and include fixes to be more inline with POSIX, better check for headers. Also added automation for giving user the configuration dialog, if the configuration does not exist or has incompatibilities.

Thanks to Burglar for his patience and reporting some issues!

tried building this on ubuntu 10.04 LTS. got xmms installed ok, which was a bit off a bitch as xmms has been a dead project for years.

but, during make I got errors:

Mostly just minor bugfixes etc. between version 0.8.95 and 0.8.98, slowly nearing final 0.9.0 release.

Ah, thx for the informations ccr! This is a Winamp skin, BUT a new skin for Sidplay/w V2.6 would be awesome. xD Maybe with the possibility to change between old and new skin.

Hopefully nobody is confused by the screenshot. This is, after all, just a _plugin_ for the very old and abandoned XMMS 1 music player, and not a GUI in itself.

The reason I'm even releasing these new versions is a bit complicated one as well: basically at some point "XMMS-SID" plugin was ported to Audacious media player, and I was part of Audacious developer team for two years.

Unfortunately the development took some turns that I didn't fully agree with, and I got bored. Now, recently I wanted to play SIDs again, and found no viable new GUI player that I was pleased with, thus bringing me to the decision to revive this codebase. Weird, isn't it.

Anyway, the thing in the screenshot is XMMS 1, with skin called "Nucleo" from WinAmp (WinAmp 2.x skins were/are supported by XMMS 1.)

Looks beautiful! I get a bit jealous and ask the team around Inge if they could do a new good looking skin for the Sidplay/w V2.6 ?
