Nop, you're not. I guess his name showing up somewhere leads to cognitive bias. If this was That Demo with the New Potato Pete Tune, I doubt it would be praised so much, if at all.

| Is great to read all you comments, both positive and constructive. I agree it would be great if Rob programmed a new SID using the techniques and source code he used originally, alas that ain't possible as all that, is lost in the midst of time. You right though is heart warming he composing again, albeit most of it now is productions for the film soundtrack (which sounds great BTW) |

Sorry dink, I don't agree and agree with Mixer. This is not the best tune ever made. First of all, Rob Hubbard didn't actually write the tune directly on Sid Wizard, Max Hall did. and not forget, Rob hasn't made music on the C64 for 25+ years. Although it's heart-warming that he's back and taking interest in the SID again, he still needs to work a lot harder to get to a level of quality that I've never experienced before, on the SID chip that is.
Nothing personal against Rob or Max, you two have made a great effort to actually make SID music again (like I stated in the previous comment)... but the truth is ugly and I've personally had it with all the name-voting crap that constantly goes on here. |

The Hubbard is strong with this one! My only complaint would be that the bass and drums are almost *too* clean compared to classic Hubbard. Progress isn't always good :)

Hopefully this will inspire rob to continue and start making SID tunes again. It was mentioned that he had lost the source code and drivers, However there are documented disassemblys of some of his drivers at the below link

The well known Rob Hubbard style is really felt through the bassline-movement.
I'm honored that my tool was chosen for the C64 'implementation', thanks Max Hall and Rob and all men involved.
It would be really good to see more Hubbard tunes in the future. I'm listening this one and the more I listen to it the more I like its mood. |

| Rob, Max; Wonderful composition. Good arrangements of the leads, and nice use of the kickdrum and filters on the bassline. The vibrations and slides on the leads truely reminds me on old Rob Hubbard songs from the past, something I think no other musician today would dare to do in their songs. No arpeggios, no snare, just straight melodies with the bassline and kick underlaying. It is rare, bare, naked and rough; it fits, and it sounds great! Truely a SID master worthy his comeback! Would love to hear more new arrangements and melodies from both of you. Cheers Magnar |

A dream comes true that Rob Hubbard is back!!! You, Rob Hubbard are the reason for me to start composing...
I hope that Rob get now hungry to do full 100% own tunes on C64 again. When I say full 100% own tunes, than I mean that Rob
is sitting alone in a room and typing in a C64 music-editor of his choice alone all notes and everything else. Than the new tunes could
be released by a C64 demo group of Rob Hubbard choice. Every group would code and paint something for you Rob Hubbard.
You Sir Rob Hubbard, have a big fanbase here on C64, you are a legend, do not disappoint us, let us not wait again decades for a new tune!
This goes also to every other legend on C64, I tell you MAKE A COMEBACK before we all dead !!! |

guys, beware because it means that hubbard is learning sid wizard, we can only hope he will try alone.... i am influecing him since years.. :) but i dont know. rob already said "will never happen" , and "making sids is like playing piano with boxing gloves on" :) which is correct :) hahah.

Djezuz, dudes, come on this is really cool... and almost no one commented on the music by the way?!?!?!? You are all so weird and odd... Rob Hubbard, you have created composed a fantastic music and i thing hall made it good into the sid chip for you, lack a bit of your special touch in one way but it also hold something new from you to me... I have had this music on loop for some time now and it will be on more, I LOVE IT! It is one tune one can sing along to, it hold both hard sound and some floating lead and it make me dream of beein in space and just moving fast towards something ahead, it drives me somewhere, it is a story here, what is the true story of this tune Rob? Where are you traveling? I also love the fact that sometimes in the melody i think you will go all out but then you hold back and then hold back again and even one more time but then you put the pedal to the max and we are with you out in space again.... Thanx for this piece of magical music to me, some day you should make another one, it is a lot of fans of you here and you are one of the special ones and one that made us start out with this in the first place, you are a legendary c64 music composer that had huge impact on a whole world of young men and wimen in our world, you are something really special, thanx for making a new tune, it sound magical! |

A very nice semi comeback. I've given it an honest 8/10.
I read from Max Hall here that Rob has lost his source codes and assemblers so helped personally to direct this SID release which I consider to be the next best thing. So if he can find time to create himself a new assembler then he should get back into the C64 for a fun hobby side project. Lots of Psytronik releases need his tunes and he has enough kudos for it to be all worthwhile.
A fuller comeback would be something special :) |

| Rob wrote the music, and was sat next to me when we did the SID version, so is by myself and Rob hubbard. Hope that clarifies the point. Rob obviously has not got his source code and assemblers etc, so needed help in making the SID. |
