Initially, I was going to go with chars for everything, but then I wanted to make the aspect taller. So, I thought the obvious choice was borders. Hence the sprites.
It was easier to do as sprites too.
I didn't want to spend to long on making it. It was a little project to help remind myself about C64 coding\registers etc.
Each project I will do will be an exercise in teaching myself stuff.

Alas, I'm not a natural coder, so I'll never achieve any of the crazy stuff people are doing these days, but I hope some people will continue to enjoy my offerings in the future anyway.

Sorry guys, yes. It IS buggy. Sloppy code too. I'm still trying to get back into C64 coding.
I think it's kinda fun with the bugs. It doesn't alter the gameplay.
