C64 Versions
------------
Compatible with PAL/NTSC/GS

Adapters
--------
Race supports standard hardware and additional hardware:
* 1-2 player(s) on standard hardware
* 4 Player Interface (Protovision/Individual Computers)
* Inception 8 Joysticks Adapter

The Inception Adapter is used when it is detected/attached during startup.
Otherwise the 4 Player Interface or no additional hardware is used.

Start
-----
Use any attached joystick to choose event and car handling.

Join
----
The idea was to have a small and effective joystick-based car selection.
Simply press and hold fire to join the race. When fire is pressed the
according car rotates. This can be used to identify which car belongs
to which joystick (press/release fire button in individual rhythm until
mapping is identified).

Championship
------------

Individual objective: reach the finish line with as little points as possible.
Team objective: all points in total should be as little as possible.

Penalty Points:
150 : for collision with upper/lower borders or background obstacles (e.g. houses)
300 : for leaving screen to the left (collision with left border)
100 : for not winning the race
time: the total time is added as points to each driver after passing the finish line

Championship Highscore
----------------------
For individual players and for the team (when >=2 players).
Press up/down for character selection, left/right for position
selection. Also pressing fire rotates the car for active player identification.
When the cursor position is rightmost or leftmost pressing fire ends the input.
During team highscore all team members can give input at the same time.
This is meant for starting some conversation...

Battle
------
Objective: be the last car driving!
Cars are out when reaching 100000 points or miss the heart
during "heart attack".

Penalty Points:
9: each cycle for not accelerating
99999: for collision with borders
10000: for collision with obstacles (e.g. houses)

Collectable Items:
tools: repair car, receice 20000 credit points
clock: invulnerable for some time
heart: heart attack! If the driver does not drive over the heart
within a certain time, the car is out.

Battle Award Ceremony
---------------------
The winner can press fire to rotate his car for identification (if there is a winner).
