What an original and stylish intro for its time.

This is the intro that got me started in programming for real. One day I pressed Run/Stop+Restore, and surprisingly the Ready prompt appeared. As I had no cartridge, and not even a reset button, this was rare for me.

So I just wrote "SYS4096" out of nowhere, and voila, the intro started to run again! I still remember that moment vividly. From that moment on, I meticulously tried PEEK and POKE on EVERY single address after 4096. My aim was to change the screen color, and after several tries and lock ups, finally it happened!

I don't remember how it exactly happened, but eventually I managed to change the "Lucas" sprites, and wrote my surname "Kilic" there, and I was so proud of that!

This was so enjoyable, I didn't stop there and started to try similar things on the game this intro was linked to: Super Swithers Target

S.S.T. was also relatively easier to hack into, compared to all the other programs that locked Restore key down. I changed all texts in the title screen of the game, and showed it to my dad. Then this dialogue happened:

Dad: Very nice. Did you do the colors?
Me: No.

Dad: Ok, did you do that moving thing (pointing at the text)?
Me: No.

Dad: You did the music?
Me: No.

Dad: Then, what did you do?
Me: (Not knowing what to say, this was one of the most embarrassing moments I ever had in my entire life, even to this day).

That is the moment I decided to learn programming for real. Bought the C64 Programmer's Reference Guide, and the recommended "64MON" shortly after this "incident". I was loading this intro, and then 64MON from cassette, and was examining it byte by byte. I did the same for some other favorite intros of mine (such as the famous Papillons intro).

Eventually, I started writing typical intro effects one by one (raster bars, flashing texts, scroll texts). And finally I started to write complete intros.

Thanks to this intro (in addition to C64 itself), I had a career in programming.
