@ZeSmasher: Why can't a question also be an answer?

But okay... some people do demos for art or to deliver a message, i code for fun and both the technical side and spending a few relaxing hours cleaning the wired image up (i needed a distraction at the time) fit that particular bill.

It was only ever going to be an aside to the existing scene drama over the picture!
