The depacker exits with the carry flag set, and the routine that creates the screen for the DYCP never clears it. I was in a hurry and unfortunately didn't notice this until it was too late.

The packer messed up the dycp in the intro, and we were in a hurry and did not notice. Tough shit. :) But it was a fun race. Game works fine though.
