Well... AFAIR you need to click into HR or Mult. empty fields to switch between hires and multicolor modes.

bah! this one suxx!
i hate joystick controlled tools!
there are no functionsa (what about mirrors, shifts, inverts etc...)
i didn't even manage to change the colors or enter the mc-edit mode (is there any..???!)
maybe i will enhance char.star for multi color support some time - to become the ultimate char editor, but this one is definitely crap.
