@elkmoose: since the documentation for C*Base is written in tex, there clearly is source code for it. And the GPL is clear, simple, and DFSG. CC exists in a myriad variants, most of them non-DFSG.

Your effort is very admirable, but, the thing I'd love the most to see is a complete port of c*base to other hosts, so you can host a 'real' bbs on a *nix machine ;)

but maybe I rambling ;)

@Burglar: Yes and no =) They're not called "taomod" any longer, since they're not mods, but rather proper upstream versions, but yes, this is the latest version of C*Base, released today.
