That pic isn't by HUGH RILEY, it's by PAUL DOCHERTY (DOKK)!

@Conrad: You are a musical genius! I love the creative energy you infuse into your tunes.

@Skate:
Metalasis (the female) is a hologram of a warrior, accidentally merged with the hologram of Hammerfist (the male). Nowhere in the game did I see her soliciting sex for money..

I used to fix this with

lda #color
ldx #0
clr
sta screen+$0000,x
sta screen+$0100,x
sta screen+$0200,x
sta screen+$0300,x
dex
bne clr

:) I do never ever rely on roms.

Isn't this typically fixed by doing:

Lda #$background color
sta $0286
lda #$93
jsr $ffd2

?

I always thought it was whatever the current cursor color was.

@mermaid: Hiding a man (I mean whole body) inside isn't enough for that label? she only brings him out when she thinks she is not strong enough to fight. "a true bitch" imho. ;)

I liked both of the effects at the bottom. Very cute. X-2004 sprites are well drawn too. MJ cover is also very high quality, specially the chorus part.

I don't remember the grey line on hammerfist whore's lip. Is that bug from the original pic? I'm just too lazy to check the original game pic :)

Guess I have been watching to many Censor design demos as I was waiting and waiting for the picture to rotate. :) Still a ok production. And quite a suprise to see some B.A wares once again.

T.M.R: Yes you are right. It seems the colour applied for the text was read from $0286 - the current cursor colour - after doing a couple tests.

i think it inherits the cursor colour; white if there is an Action Replay present, light blue if not...?

Mace: indeed interesting. When we tested the demo after typing the scroller on real C64c, the text was white...

Interesting to see that on the screendump (yes...) the numbers on the lefthand side are white, while they appear in light blue in WinVICE v1.22.
