Might been intended as [F1] quits the intro.

if there was something "unprofessional" about the intro rip it was the packer used, which fucks up some low location not initialized by the intro itself. unpacking and recrunching it with exomizer make it work correctly again.
Then, if we want to split the hair in 4, uninited vars in code is not professional, and this is not professional either:
1CD6 A9 01 LDA #$01
1CD8 A2 00 LDX #$00
1CDA 9D 00 D8 STA $D800,X
1CDD 9D 00 D9 STA $D900,X
1CE0 9D 00 DC STA $DC00,X <-
1CE3 E8 INX
1CE4 D0 F4 BNE $1CDA
space won't work than to zeroing dc00, lame :P
anyway now intro is fixed, space works, and will be replaced soon.

Could somebody please fix the version of this intro in the download link at intros.c64.org ?

The version has been destroyed by unprofessional ripping ... shame on the one who did it .... :-)

Ah by the way you can download the correct one at www.the-movers.de and some more Intros of Elite / SF / Movers which are missing in here.
Just check out the links in the Intros section ...
Eg.

http://www.the-movers.de/jc64/rel/MOVERS2.PRG

and so on .....
