Had (almost!) forgotten about this!

Back in the day, I didn't have any network connection, got this on Commodore Force cover tape.

Still a great little production, and WAY better than the "amiga version", which I just saw for the first time ever :-)

My guess would be mozicart...

Magnar.... hello dear old and lost friend... A splendid release this were back then.... we were both known as lizard one time... ha ha... cool to hear from you...... I remember me thinking when I experienced this one... hmmm... story and movies is what I want to do also.. how is life? what are you up to.... send me an e-mail.... www.flottaltsaa.no

A long time has passed, what is up?

Geir, Mozicart were a beloved c64 composing team that in my heart were some of the absolutely best there ever were and ever will be on the c64... a pillar and a milestone in c64 history for me they are.... Mozicart also posessed one of the absolutely finest and coolest names on the c64 scene in my opinion, mozicart, that is the best... I remember in the days that I were on a constant look for new mozicart productions, and when they arrived my drive I were so humble to the fact that you always managed to create a song with a feeling to it... it were not something on top in alot of ways, it were something integrated and brinnging the overall impression to a higher level... cool!

PS: have you done more tests with the idea?

Nice to see this prod again after all these years. Great anim, Gotcha, and nice speedcode by Mc.Sprite. A big thanks and hugs to both of you for picking my song to this production. And a even bigger hug to the person that by coincident found me on the HZ party and asked if I had any unreleased songs with me that Mc.Sprite+Gotcha could use. A very cool memory from the party indeed :)

In my earlier post I mentioned there was a C64 conversion of the music from the Amiga demo - well, I found two versions! Ski Dance! and New One (part 1). Thanx to Matt!

I guess 'Ski Dance' was the original, before the Amiga version?

Hey Zyron! Lamers? The word never existed in my point of view on the 64-scene! There were ignorants, idiots and assholes, but no lamers! Thank you all for your positive comments! I appreciate this very much!

just to add info: this demo was not officially released under the flag of Byteriders nor of Cosmos Designs, just members from both worked on it.

i prefer the c64 version over the amiga one, why was amiga demo music such tripe in the early 90's?

I've added the link to a YouTube video of the Amiga version in the TRIVIA section.

Also, I am certain that someone covered the music from the Amiga version on the C64. Sadly, not used in this demo.

On the screen dump (.. ) you see that the outline isn't as perfectly made as i always though it was. Bugs from the 90's :(. It's still a nice prod though.

Quite a nice demo - I prefer the Amiga version though! That said, the sprites are nicely done with hires overlay.

I was sitting in the same room as Gotcha & McSprite at the HZ-party so I saw this release evolve. Watching Gotcha doing the animations was indeed very impressive. Since I was totally unknown back then I was very surprised with how kind & down to earth these guys were having lamers like us in "their" room :)
