Totally missed this one.
What the friggin hell are you all talking about? =)

Great picture by the way. I don't like the face too much but the technique is above excellent, as usual.

Maybe my favourite mermaid pic ever. Amazing pixelwork, amazing image, amazing colour and yah for swirls :)

This is the pic that made me feel like pixelling again. After seeing this i downloaded Timanthes and got to work.

So to add to all the amazingness: Amazing Inspiration!

Just had to recast my vote from 7 to 9. Awesome multicolor work Vanja. Would love to see a new pic from you!

Great picture.
About the converted/pixeled, well, I've seen her putting pixels one by one a sufficient amount of time to know that it's not converted.

@Scout: ACK, except one point. Actually I do not believe that any experienced graphician uses a converter if it isn’t really necessary but I think that G-Fellows statement is his true opinion. His comments are quite diplomatic, though with a taste of prejudice… about… rather inefficient operations. But then everybody jumps on the train snubbing him just like he violated religious feelings or something like that – for such a trifle... I am not sure which is more annoying...

@Veto: there wasn't really a discussion. Just a troll with a typing disability.
And *IF* Leon and The Maiden (and Dane and Mirage and Saehn and Sander and Hein and Duce and...and..) use a (PC) tool to base a picture on, you can always see in the end result that a very skilled artist was at work.
Flamecontrol: Did I mention I said *IF* ?

Oh well… This conversion discussion really makes me mad. It is the artist’s decision which tool suits most to him/her and it is the result that counts. Every cross development is some kind of conversion at last - regardless if you use Project One, 0xPaint, Timanthes, ProMotion or Photoshop with Congo/BigVic or whatever. I don’t like working with convert-only-tools but not because some sceners might think this could be lame. It is a long-wide and repetitive work to correct fragments, colour glitches and lost details. Not to mention that those pictures mostly do not match the graphic matrix. For example I really enjoy well treated render pictures exactly because their fine-tuning is the opposite of fun. It is disrespectful towards artists by downgrading their creativity in case of workflow improvement.
Btw. excellent picture Vanja - Love the waves covering the face and the bubbles... Do you know the Gnomon Workshop DVD series Creature Design? I had a strong déjà vu

Hey Leon even the light and shadows on your picture are the same as on the .jpg!? I don´t like also the flamers and i did not flame. But you must agree that makes you thinking when there is a PC pic that looks exactly like yours. There is no reason to offend me directly.

i don't feel i have to show workstages or prove anything to such bastards like you. i would be glad if everybody would forget me. why are you fucking me according to a picture i have nothing to do with? if you think i'm converting, vote with one and keep your comment.

do you want me to delete my pictures and myself from this page? isn't it enough that i have no mood to pixel anything new because of this flamers?

I did not say that your pic is converted and than edited, i thought there is a chance for it. I want to believe that your pic is every dot hand pixeled. I really hope so.

But what you say about Leons picture? Is there not a chance that its converted and than edited?

G-Fellow: so I won't win any beauty contests but come on..."pixel the bugs out of the pic and make it look like the original .jpg" - you really think this looks like the original .jpg? I'm all sad inside now!

Don´t know what to believe about those great pics, many of them looks converted with GangEd. For example this pic from Leon:
Oops

You only have to put some work in the converted pic and pixel the bugs out of the pic and make it look like the original .jpg
