Readme for BluREU/Crest, released on 4.4.2010 on Breakpoint 2010

This demo requires a 16MB REU. It does work in VICE and 1541 Ultimate, and should also work on Chameleon once that is
released - or a modded original Commodore REU if anybody ever manages to actually extend that to 16MB! ;-)

Usage instructions for 1541u:
1) Put our custom included 1541u-Firmware, appl.bin, on an SD-card (no need to flash it, but you can if you want. We don't take any responsibility though, we did not encounter any bugs throughout our development though with the firmware loaded at all times!). All we changed in the firmware was some of the text and the ability to load .reu files directly.
2) Load blu.reu from the 1541u freezer/filebrowser. It takes 43 seconds to load (don't complain, we're basically loading 100 .d64s at 2.1 disks a second here!)
3) Load BluREU_Crest.prg in whatever way you want and run it.

Usage instructions for VICE (not using the all-in-one .vsf version):
1) Whatever you do: Duplicate blu.reu before doing anything,
since VICE's handling of REU files is a bit clumsy and it erases REUs upon start!
2) Start VICE
3) Select the blu.reu copy. Depending on which OS you use the way to
accomplish this differs: on MacOS you need to edit
the path in the REU section of the Resource Inspector directly,
don't use the file select button next to it (which really creates a new empty .reu file!),
on Windows you can just select the .reu file in Settings/Cartridge-IO/REU.
4) Load BluREU_Crest.prg in whatever way you want and run it.

Enjoy! NUFLI rulez! ;-)

Legal stuff:
Scenes from Rick Astley's "Never gonna Give you up" video copyright 1987 RCA Records
Scenes from "Starstruck" by The Black Lotus, "fr025 - The Popular Demo" by Farbrausch and "Lifeforce" by Andromeda Software Development. You guys rock!
