Very nice, I wonder how it can look as a regular MC bitmap?

PAL, I did it in Adobe ImageReady. This was something I uploaded simply because I was also uploading the Monroe comparison and had already done this one some time ago. I thought everybody knew that Mirage wires images, that's just part of his process (like it or not, it's a technique). My personal preference is for hand-drawn work, but yes there's obvious skill in Mirage's conversions/touch-up work. Also, Mirage did state that it was a copy in the trivia section.

@jackasser: I was actually just referring to that picture. Mirage has done the most amazing pixel-work.. for sure... that's why I thought this would also be completely hand-crafted.

@Medicus: Even though the motif is not original in this one you really can't question Mirage's skills give the pieces he have delivered in the past + the technique is outstanding anyway. If you look closely I get the feeling that he wanted to experiment with dither techniques in this pieces and really didn't care about the motif. All being part of improve yourself.

That fade effect is great... is it created with the video toaster? hmmm... I wish he had used red more in the hat because it would be even greater then... It has to do with values of light I guess during convertion? or... The red got lost... or maybe mirage just felt it were better without red? I do not know? Everything is in perfect placement... hmmm..

Here it is compared to the original. Makes me wish C64 had a better red.

Great Picture. One of the best interlaced pictures with barely any flicker. Due to the color usage, i decided to test it on my MUCSU-FLI converter. Looks great but unfortunately not full screen 160 pixels high or so :-(

Hahah, Hermit, what a fucking coincidence, Mufflon V1.0 was just released! :-D I have a NUFLI version of the pic here, looks good, but needs a little fixing, cause Mirage went crazy with the color usage on this one! 8)

Fucking awesome pic, Lars sent it to me some months ago to try conversion to NUFLI, one of the best IFLI's I've ever seen. Also hardly flickers, i have to agree with Oswald, really quite amazing!

The picture rulez and the music rapes my brain, exactly the way I like it. I can't really say much about the bars 'cos I don't know jack about code, but they sure look slick!
Even my girlfriend says the picture looks good, and that has to mean something. ;)

Awesome pic, music depresses me, I guess this was the aim.
I can't wait for the moment when the flicker-fixer for C64 gets released :)

I see you with a sign I want to boom like it’s never been done,
Bust moves like the click boom of a gun.

My beats stay locked and my eyes are zooming,
My feet start tweaking and my body’s booming.

The first day of boom and the flowers are blooming,
Booty boom bass and the party is booming.

Boom ba-boom like a rocket taking off to the moon,
Boom boom like a bride and boom-ah.

See you shaking that boom boom,
See you looking at my boom boom,
See you want some boom boom,
It’s clear it’s boom time boom boom ah.

Let me buy you a boom boom
You order a fancy boom
You like boom and I like boom
Enough small boom let’s boom the boom-ah

Fast-forward, selectah.

Now we’re rolling on a boom boom ah,
Riding to my private room
And we boom whats boom and we both assume
We’re gonna boom boom boom ’til the break of boom.

Who’s the boom king?
Who? I’m the boom king.
What? Who’s the boom king?
Tell me now.
I’m the boom king
He’s the boom king

My phone is beeping, it’s B-boom’s Boom,
He’s back from ten years doom and gloom,
He said he had his boom chopped off in the boom,
But the crazy boom still loves to boom ahh.

Unzip the boom and the lens goes boom
Your b-boom drops ba-boom ba-boom boom.
We both get freaky and my boom gets leaky
Then we boom boom boom boom boom boom boom.

Who’s the boom king?
Who? I’m the boom king
What? Who’s the boom king?
Hah! I’m the boom king
Lars' the boom king.

Fake my ass! Very nice hypnotic dual-sinus raster bars. The FLI interlace looks great.
