Mixture of oldskool and new effects.
Pirate girl and the wobbly road are my favorites, but bobs part is also nice 'n smooth.
Oh and we need some tits for B(°)(°)bs Design. ;)

If you get a red screen, the loader failed to initialize, most likely because you have more than one IEC device plugged in. Simply unplug all but one drive.

@pantaloon: no need to unplug the 1541U if you want to run from a real 1541, just unplug the Ultimate's serial cable.

All inn all this is a very cool, if a bit uneven, demo. Love the graphical style from the screenshot above, and the music is just great. Also some very nice effects. The DYCP and the trailblazerthingy rules. Looking forward to the next one guys!

Meh. I dunno. Ya know? I mean, it's Fairlight... Out of ALL the demos I downloaded from this event, I looked forward to this one.

Wasn't the best I've seen from you guys, but I'll give you props on a work well done.

Loved the animated Pirate "wench" ! ! ! Exceptionally smooth that was!

Make sure you don't run this from disk if ultimate is attached. there is a bug in the fastloader that sets the drivenumber to 9, and it looks like the loader is using that number to initialise itself.

so either run from disk without cart attached, or from 1541u sd card.

Couldn't get the demo working (goes to red screen at the start and then freeze), so ended up watching it on youtube. Nice demo.

Coolest part was the upscroller in the end (if my eyes don´t serve me wrong the charset was somewhat dynamic?), another nice prod you gus squeezed out!

Very nice demo for the short amount of time and a deserved winner. Good flow and design. I especially like that linevector/vectorball screen. Thumbs up for the fastest linevectors around.

Nice demo, but somewhat uneven. Quite a lot of unmotivated black-border syndrome, but teamed up with a lot of nice effects. Great with consistant fonts, but too bad the fonts didn't reflect too much in the (very different) logos. The colorful trailblazerish thingy was wonderful and so was the bouncy-balls DYCP, nice to see Ika i Rutan again. The music was really fitting and quite nice.

this is a nice demo and i like it. to be honest i expected a little bit more after some pre-datastorm flt hyping - but i know there wasnt enough time to finish something which comes even close to the "we are new" level again. its well-designed and entertaining anyways + a deserved datastorm winner - so why do i not just shut up :)

The file is corrupt. It should be replaced with the working one. Some pretty nice effects in the demo.

Thanks to MagerValp (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/839742/Datastorm2011Releases.zip), I finally watched it. It's really nice to see another demo from fairlight in less than a year. I remember flt has released 6-7 demos a year around 2006-2007, so this activity is not a big surprise. We want more.

About the demo itself line vector+sprite balls part is my favorite. last effect is also nice. i think it's a varition of the horicast part from the last demo.

Only downside for me is ball psyhics over dycp. I hadn't liked the similar psyhics used at "we are new" demo. They look so fake to me.

After not being able to run it on emulators, I tried it on the real thing and still it hangs up at the first logo. Am I missing something here?
