Text:Welcome to Rock Goes 80's ! Another cover collection composed by Rock of Finnish Gold. It's Rock on the keys. I'm very proud of this release. Only about one month ago FIG released Rock goes 70's and now it's time to take a small bite of 1980's. This collection is coded by DR.J/Delysid and these fabulous screens are made by Shine/Delysid. Thanks again my friends! From the menu you can find 6 tunes. The first tune is from the Finnish artist called Kirka. He did 2 rock/heavy albums in the mid 80's. I decided to compose a song called R.O.C.K Rock. Actually I took my handle, Rock from this song :) so it has a very special meaning and this tune really kicks ass! The next one is from Def Leppard, Switch 625. Nice catchy instrumental song. My friend had a band, they performed it live in early 80's, the sound wall was huge:) all those Marshall amps.... Milli Vanilli :) well actually I have composed this somewhere in 1989-1990, but I finished it 2015. Nice happy song.... Bon Jovi, everyone knows this one. The next one is from RUSH, my all time favorite band. Tom Sawyer, this tune was very hard to compose. I was thinking that maybe I should forget to cover Rush, but I had to do it and this is the result. I had to shorten the song a little bit due the lack of free blocks in the Future Composer 1.0... hehe I know what you are saying.... maybe someday it is time to go for modern trackers.... The last one is medley from various artists. Here is the list of the songs: 01 Another one bites to dust, Queen 02 Billie Jean, Michael Jackson 03 Like a Prayer, Madonna 04 Smalltownboy, Bronski Beat 05 The final countdown, Europe 06 You are my heart, you are my soul, Modern Talking 07 Every breath you take, The Police 08 Wonderful life, Black 09 Atomic, Blondie 10 Me Myself and I, De La Soul 11 Super Freak, Rick James 12 Jump, Van Halen 13 Ghostbusters, Ray Parker, Jr. 14 Poison, Alice Cooper 15 Rainbow in the dark, Dio 16 Maniac, Michael Sembello 17 Enola Gay, OMD 18 Take on me, A-ha 19 I just cabt get enough, Depeche Mode 20 For whom the bells tolls, Metallica...... Next some greez : Lemming/Offence/Nostalgia, Dr.J/Delysid, Shine/Delysid, Artline Designs, V-12/Tropyx, Jazzcat/Onslaught, Mixer/Origo Dreamline, Pal/Offence, Drax/MoN/Bonzai, Romppainen/Triad, Byterapers, All ex- Fig members and FCS, Gallstone, Spemu, I hope to see you someday. Sorry if I forgot you....... ok, it’s time give the keys to Miy go ahead mate....and Miy/FIG here again. I am so happy to be a happy member of this wonderful group. Oh I remember those glorious days back in 80's when C64 scene was full of life, Grendel/(B) and many others of us were so young. Girls were wild, Blue Curacao was in and Bacardi was the best you ever got. Women had thick bushes... (yes I said it in 70's demo also). I don't know you out there who read this but C64 music always stops me and brings good memories. It is kind of sad that such a feeling and time never came since EXCEPT NOW - thanks to ROCK. As usual I want to give some personal greetings (in no particular order) to Byterapers, Grue/Extend,Damones, Accession, T101, Terwiz and Freon/Alumni, Jugi, Reed, Oldskool ry. members in Tampere, A7/DDG and others. Contact me for swapping Miy/FIG, Karhikatu 2 A1, 33340 Tampere/Finland or use email/phone number you can find from LinkedIn https://fi.linkedin.com/in/mikaturpeinen........ hi its dr.j on the keys.. hey to all our friends of finnish gold and delysid , i'm so happy this release coming out for your pleasure , on our production you can hear to cool covers of famous 80's songs , my favorite one is milli vanilli cover "Take it as it comes" but also the medley is above coolness , and of course all the rest are nice and cool . as a big 80's freak i am totally satisfied and hope we can make more 80's collections in the future. there is a little nice project which i hope will be release and give a respect to one of the greatest music icons ever , ok.. i think that's all for now....raise the volume to max! and keep enjoying the hits ! dr.j signing off.... It’s Rock again. I have the feeling that this year will be very special. I hope to see a lot of new demos and nice tunes out there and I promise FIG will release new music and demos also in the future ...... Rock 14.01.2016 signing off............. PS. Have you find the hidden tune? If not, check the hint after the intro screen. The Hidden one is composed by me, Rock in 1989. Cheers!
