Trivia :
Acting co-lead of G*P and F4CG, 2 of the most legendary groups ever, during the 90s.
Overseeing day-to-day activities in both groups, Newscopy provided first releases and drove an aggressive marketing agenda that enabled a consistent Top-3 performance across the release charts for the the better part of the decade.
Taking over from Antichrist, Newscopy became editor in chief of Propaganda Magazine in 1992. By taking a more investigative angle, he re-invented the magazine and laid the foundation for modern scene journalism which was later replicated in magazines across scenes and formats. At its peak, Propaganda was regarded the #1 elite magazine in the world.
An active participator in the scene debate, Newscopy was frequent voice on the American boards during 1989-1998, also carrying co-sysop status on for instance Mystic Cavern, Divine Ultimatum, Dream Park and The Dungeon.
In 1994, Newscopy coordinated TRIBUTE, the first ever nostalgia C64 party in November 1994.The event was hosted by GP, Avantgarde, Propaganda Magazine.
Footnote: Newscopy was also a member of "the family", a friendly constellation of die-hards that dominated the Swedish scene in the 90's: Jucke, Motley, Scope, Newscopy, Sixx and Walker. The family gradually retired from the scene following Scope's death in 1995.
