A quickly recomposing of the Galactix V2.0 tune which was composed for "Road of Excess" from Triangle. My attempt to get one of my tunes released by a great demo group of the time (one of my dream goals as 17-18 years old)
But that the party I lend some of other tunediscs to a friend of mine from Lotus.
Not recalling that I had put the Triangle version on that disc and once I needed that tune for their demo, I couldn't find it on the discs I thought it was on.
So I quickly sat down at the party and recomposed this version based on what I could recall of the real tune - also using a CPU faster driver from JCH to save up some cycles as the part it was going to be used in was a vector part.
But... the demo was never released at the party as planned, and shortly after - a month or two, my 2nd 1541 disk drive broke down too. I had just been paid for our Combat Zone game (which was an Amiga 500) - no monitor, no harddrive, no extra floppy drive... so... what to do, spend my few spare bucks on a 3rd 1541 or skip C64 and try to get a grib of Amiga?
I decided to go for the latter, only to discover 23 years later that my orignal tune had been on the disks that Lotus had borrowed and my tune now was called "Lotus Intro Tune" :D
NO! it is called "GALACTIX V2.0" (you could argue that its V1.0) based on my story above, but it was intended to be V2.0 (I believe I had made a V1.0 already that I didnt like)...
So this shorter "quick version" could be a V3.0 if anything.
