Interesting report from the Danes in Jewels going to Marl Borring Trip: "WE HAD DECIDED THAT WE WOULD GO TO VISIT THE ORION/MCG COPY PARTY IN THE WEEK-END 7-8/5-1988, SO WE PACKED OUR THINGS AND MADE OURSELF READY FOR THE LONG DRIVE TO GERMANY!! WE STARTED UP IN DENMARK ON FRIDAY THE 6/5 AT 18.00 AM. AND ON SATURDAY THE 7/5-1988 09.00 PM WE WHERE IN MARL (THATS IN GERMANY!!) WE DROVE STRAIGHT TO THE BULDING WHERE THE PARTY WAS SET TO TAKE PLACE - F. OOHH BOY, WAS WE IN FOR A BIG SHOCK!! - D ON THE FRONT DOOR THERE WAS A SIGN IN GERMAN SAYING: (TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH!!) "THE 'COMPUTER MEETING' IS NOT GOING TO TAKE PLACE!! COURSE OF NOT ENOUGHT SPACE" THE NEXT FEW MINUTES WAS NOT A LESSON IN THE BETTER MANNERS IN TALKING DANISH!!! WE RUSHED TO THE PHONE BOX AND CALLED DSI FROM MCG. THE GUY WAS STILL SLEEPING AND HE SAID THAT HE DIDEN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE PARTY!! THEN WE CALLED TOMMY OF MADONNA CRACKING GROUP... HIS LINE WAS BUSY!!" Story continues, but that is indeed some strange info. Was the party already raided?

Maybe I am wrong... Wasn't some guys of MCG busted before the party? And I think they did that deal with the german police not to stop the organisation of the party and when it's running the police should come and therefore they would get lower punishments themselves...

The police searched the party and arrested visitors. This was one of the well known busts in the scene.
