Release id #192148 : Demo #02

Does anyone have any information on the very, VERY early days of NEC in 1987? It's possible we have fossilized remains of their origins here - can this be verified?

NEC's bio states that they started as a local NY group and this demo and Demo #03 seem to support that. These demos were released at least a full year (probably more) before the first known Horizon cracks, and they are said to have been released 3 months after the formation of the group.

They list Long Island NY BBSs , and they greet fellow New Yorkers The Computer Triangle and tell you to call their HQ. I never, ever, ever would have guessed TCT had any kind of connection to NEC. Obscure isnt even the word for that group.

The group members are listed as: The Enforcer - Wolverine - Rambo - Neckron - Mephisto - The Macho-Man

I dont think any group member listed here exists in the Db (unless their handle was later changed). Wolverine/ATC was not from NY. Macho Man/NFI might be the same person but I doubt it. No Enforcer in the Db makes sense, and the only Enforcer I know of not in the Db was from Missouri. No Wolverine in the Db makes sense. Rambo is a too-common throwaway. Neckron and Mephisto are unique (to the US anyway).

In addition to TCT HQ they tell you to call The Goldmine at 516-484-6844, if that helps.
