Just now found out, Johannes Bjerregaard has died at the age of 52, due to cancer, on November 2. :(

remember his work from early games, and from rawhead demos etc.. and games like thunderforce.. and kamikaze etc
as for the tune I liked most , maybe "sweet" or the "chase" which featured in a small chopper / copter demo.. again a norweign demo.
sad, 52 is no age.. then again TMR didn't get to 50.. I expect you to be old 85-90 year old moaning about who does the best coding etc.

Really sad news indeed :(
I remember his tunes pretty well, including the classic "Sweet", which he wrote in 1987. I didn't hear too many of his masterpieces, except for a few commercial games I had bought on tape in the past. MACH, Flimbo's Quest, Thunderforce, and perhaps a few others I may not have been familiar with.
Yet another legend, who carries a legacy taken away from us all.

Whole campaign for cancer treatment gave so much hope but, sadly, it only bought Johannes a little time :(

sadly it's a total gamble.. too many family members and friend go thru it i know, some currently.. and they were getting covid19 on top of chemo and other stuff..
we are all of an age when we were teens once, waiting for the latest demos and games to come thru the post etc.. simpler times.
it does seem like a lifetime ago, ironically |
