Release id #10071 : Mechanix Intro #6

This one seems to be a remake of Deadline Intro which is a simplified version of Arcade & Deadline Intro . Would like to know which one was first. The Mechanix one seems to appear first time in 1993 and is not code-equal to the Deadline(+Arcade) version. Co-op and Deadline-only version are both used in 1992 releases. To me it appears to be first created as a co-op intro and later used for Deadline only, or was it the other way round? Anyone knows?

I don't know whether helps or not. :) In 1992 september I also created a rip from the Arcade & Deadline Intro version.
My version Hello Karesz also consists this string: Found this also: "Code & Grfx: Telemarchus/RedboX", "Charset: Creatures 2", "Noise Pollution: Digital Syndicate".

I haven't checked the other versions, maybe they also have some sign to the Arcade&Deadline version.

I think I'm the one who best can answer this one

The intro was coded in January 1993 and it was used the first time in February 1993. It was a remake of the Deadline (or Arcade+Deadline) intro as it was a way to thank Derbyshire Ram.

He gave me several originals that others didn't get (Street Fighter 2 was one of them) and he didn't wanted me to credit him as others would ask him for those originals.

Nice story, thanks for sharing.

Barry was a cool guy. May he rest in peace.

Thanks. He was a great friend. I had contact to him from 1987-1994 and then from 1997 till he passed away

I remember I really liked the intro and think it was a great way to thank him. So I coded the intro and I reckon it exists in a version with green/brown sprite colours too
