Release id #3012 : Breitbandkatze 100%

Inspired by a remix from Wacek in 2020 https://remix.kwed.org/download.php/6131/Wacek%20-%20Breitbandk..
I got into research for the name trivia.

Could've been just a funny wordgame maybe.

Anyways did I found an interesting demo(?) named Staubkaskade here: https://vimeo.com/14721731
They mention a $person named Breitbandkatze as visualist for this work.

Maybe a missing link - maybe just nothing at all...

There definetly is a link between Reflex and the video you posted. Staubkaskade is made by Felidae (+ code optimisation by Quiss)

'Visualien der Breitbandkatze' = Reflex
You can also find Filidae as breitbandkatze on pouet.net

Funny someone comes up with this so many years after the actual "release" of Staubkaskade.

It was a big surprise for me that Felidae and me were working for the same company several years ago. One day he posted a small question on an internal discussion board, asking if someone is in any way acquainted with the demo scene. So we met in person a day later; not before this moment I was aware that the person who wrote this question on the internal board was Felidae himself:)

Don't remember the exact day, but it must have been somewhen in 2011. Felidae told me about a project called "Staubkaskade", that he had finished recently back then.

I kept asking if he was willing to delve into c64 scene again - and if he could 'en passant' reactivate the other Reflexers, too. But he made it rather clear that this won't happen, at least not in the (then) nearby future...

Seeing that Quiss is online here on CSDb every now & then, I personally keep my fingers crossed that the impression of Reflex never going to be active on c64 again might have been wrong...

Oh, hey Copyfault! Thanks for the shout-out! :)

Yeah, I've occasionally been peeking in here, lately. So much development, in the 20 years I missed!

I can neither confirm nor deny any of these rumors.
