First!

Hey, a new topic, just for graphics. Nifty!

I used to draw pictures in Koala Painter a looong time ago.

Now I draw on paper and scan it into Photoshop:

Do any other old C64 graphic artists still draw today, outside the C64 scene?

I know Hobbit/Fairlight works at a comic book publisher today. Does anyone else draw for a living?

Well, I don't really consider myself an "old" scener, but the topic is interesting, so I'd put in my few cents if you don't mind...

We have a development team ( http://www.indus3.org ) and I pixel for handheld games, although I could hardly live from that, it's more a hobby which fills a significant part of my spare time.

I know about Mirage who was/is doing graphics for consoles, and as far as I am awared, Electric is releasing underground comic books...

Wow! Pixeling? I moved onto GBC and Playstation doing that, but these days I'm modeling and texturing game characters, y'know, for next-gen. I'd say it's easier than the old pixel-pushing!

Just out of curiosity, where is Mirage at these days?

Lars is still doing stuff for Focus and working for a game company. Be sure to check out his site, http://portfolio.tehwinnar.com -- this guy is brilliant!

Oswald: use Firefox, and you won't get any popups by default

I have sold a couple of portraits done with pencils.
It is much too risky to make this my only job. :)

@TCH: you did quite some cool gfx as well, I like the logo in the intro of Piction II. Also some of the gfx in e.g. Notorious is quite nice for its time.
